The Lore of the Red Pencil

The new symbol of the AMY Awards, the Red Pencil is emblematic of the tough decisions marketing professionals have to make to take programs from idea to implementation. Red lining copy and creative is just part of the challenge.

Achieving more with less, customizing the message for an increasingly fragmented audience, understanding the nuances of mixing old and new media and leveraging all components to achieve business goals are what separate good marketing programs from great ones. Those that get it just right make their mark for years to come.
